Procurement Strategy to Selection
The purpose of the ‘Procurement Strategy to Selection’ workshop is to prepare the Client/NOP for the Alliance journey.
Objectives
• To inform participant on the selection criteria that would make a project suitable for collaborative procurement
· To inform participants of current best practices for Alliance selection
• To prepare participants for key stages of the Alliance selection process
• To create awareness of Client and the NOP perspectives
• To identify areas that can present opportunities to refine and improve the process.
Who should attend?
• Participants who have an existing understanding of Alliances or have attended a workshop on Alliancing fundamentals
• Prospective or current participants in project or program Alliances at any level
• Prospective or current stakeholders in Alliances from other business areas such as HR, Finance, Commercial or Government Treasury or Audit Offices
• Prospective or current participants in other forms of Alliancing such as service Alliances or strategic Alliances
• Prospective Alliance participants from overseas.

Covering both pure and competitive Alliances:
• Overview of the Alliance preparation work and selection process
• Client side preparation work and deliverables when choosing Alliancing
• The Alliance call for bid process including content, best practice, approach and structure
• Bidding for an Alliance project - NOP side basics on bid preparation, process and content
• Selection process
• The ‘view from the field’ from an experienced practitioner and/or a contract specialist.
